First, I'm a new subscriber on your YouTube channel after seeing your videos on the Super Safety, awesome explanations and graphics !!
Three Quick questions regarding my Colt Sporter Lightweight and Colt Match Target (both 223) with regular 16" barrels.
1- If I install a 7.5" barrel but leave everything else the same, would that increase my possibilities of having an out-of-battery detonation issue?
2- Should I get a heavier buffer or do the quarters trick to reduce the chance of bolt bounce, or wait to see if it even happens, then address the issue?
3- I regularly switch in the 22 caliber kit to fire those cheap bullets instead of the expensive .223 when I have friends over, would the Super Safety still work?
Thank you !!!

1- In my experience, the shorter the barrel/gas system length the heavier buffer you'll need, but you shouldn't have to worry about an out-of-battery detonation with a normal AR15 bolt.
2- The quarter trick is used for a BCG that gets stuck at the rear while cycling and is a troubleshooting trick indicating that you need a heavier buffer and or a heavier spring. If you get a string of shots in SS mode or even just one shot and then you get a dead trigger, that means you're seeing bolt bounce.
3- .22lr can be more difficult to tune but more weight in the buffer is key. Im just now starting to work everything out for the .22lr system, but it's not as easy as just switching uppers/bolts and mags.
